The WAGE Equity Act

The WAGE Equity Act closes the wage gap between women and men while prioritizing employees and businesses over trial lawyers. The act empowers employees to utilize flexible work arrangement; creates a "Self-Audit" system aimed at incentivizing businesses to amend pay disparity; protects an individual's ability to negotiate employment based upon merit; protects employer's ability to ensure negotiations by explicitly protecting the employer's ability to have a salary expectation conversation and to act on a salary history if it is voluntarily offered during the interview process; and protects employee ability to discuss compensation with their colleagues.
